Please join us for a Supportive Zoom Gathering!
Rarely have we found ourselves in such close parallel processes with those we serve. Whether it be pandemic related challenges (enormous to small) or the ‘breaking open’ of systemic, unbearable racism in our country/world, many of us are experiencing profound emotions and powerful thoughts, very similar to our clients/patients.
Swinging between our own concerns/fears and compassion for/interest in our clients/patients, we can become emotionally and physically exhausted.
Our clients speak to their clinician once; their clinician listens over and over to (often) very similar and difficult material.
Compassion fatigue may be at an all-time high for our clinical social workers. A person can get worn out!
As a community with shared values and similar experiences perhaps it will help greatly if we support one another in positive ways during this remarkable time in our lives. To that effort, we’re offering a time for meaningful conversation to take place amongst our MSCSW group.
We’d like to invite you to participate in 90 min. “Supportive Gathering” experience via Zoom, where you can share:
1. What your biggest challenges are, presently.
2. How you are meeting those challenges.
3. What your ‘best practices’ are (in addition to your customary clinical ‘mojo’).
4. What you are doing to take care of yourself.
5. What you are learning throughout these many months.
During this time, we’ll listen to one another, nonjudgmentally, with curiosity, with compassion, and with the solid intention to lend support to our colleagues by doing so.
