Jewel D. Stafford, MSW, is currently the Associate Director of Field Education at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis.  She currently trains field instructors on ethics, advises and instructs MSW students.  Ms. Stafford previously worked as the Research Lab Supervisor, Division of Public Health Sciences, at the Washington University School of Medicine and as an adjunct instructor at Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare.

Social Work Ethics guide and inform our practice and professional roles.  Clinicians are becoming more responsible with adapting their knowledge, interventions and practice to meet the needs of their clients.  Understanding our professional role through the lens of social work ethics (both NASW and Clinical Social Work Association Code of Ethics) can prove beneficial. Through an interactive experiential format, we will review the code of ethics, explore ethical dilemmas, develop culturally informed strategies and discuss how these standards and guidelines can enhance our practice with clients, communicates and colleagues.
