Angela Skurtu will be presenting on Treating Infidelity in Couples Counseling

In this presentation, Skurtu will cover some of the common dilemmas couples face when overcoming affairs. Some of theses dilemmas include: Choosing to stay or leave, working through the confusion, understanding the impact of the affair, rebuilding trust, and reigniting their sex life. The concepts for this training come from Angela Skurtu’s current book, “Helping Couples Overcome Infidelity: A Therapist’s Manual.” Objectives include: 1) Develop a deeper understanding of how infidelity is defined both simply and complexly; 2) Learn affective ways to join with both partners; 3) Master up to 3 interventions that can be used to work with this client population.
