MSCSW Board Members are the leaders of the organization. These members volunteer their time to serve and advocate on behalf of local LCSWs and MSCSW members. Board members commit to a 2-year term of service. The MSCSW strives to maintain board of 8-10 MSCSW members.

Shelly has worked in the social work field for 20 years. She has a background in adult and geriatric mental health and has worked as a therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Shelly has provided training and education to local law enforcement regarding mental illness and the involuntary commitment process, she also has experience testifying in involuntary commitment hearings. Shelly earned her Masters of Social Work at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2004 and her LCSW in 2006. In addition to being a member of MSCSW she is also a member of Alpha Delta Mu National Social Work Honor Society. Shelly currently works in the Managed Care industry with the Medicare population as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Steve Franklin, LCSW, graduated with his MSW from Washington University in 1995. A psychotherapist in private practice, he works with children, families and adults in south St. Louis. He has facilitated film discussions in the past for the Mental Health Association of Greater St. Louis, the St. Louis International Film Festival, and other groups. He has served as a board member for several public organizations, such as RAVEN, AMHA-USA, Harmony In Life, and Psychotherapy Saint Louis, and on a United Way allocations panel. He hosted a WGNU “Party Line” radio program for 12 years, as well as “On Your Mind” for two years, and taught several continuing education classes for St. Louis Community College. Linda is a Board Certified Diplomat in Social Work, and has been in private practice of psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and groups for 22 years. She has been a member of MSCSW for that same length of time and served as its president for two years. In addition, she served as the Missouri Representative to the Clinical Social Work Federation and is a founding member of the Clinical Social Work Association. Membership Chair: Nan Karl
Nan has worked in the social work field for about 30 years. She has a background in sexual trauma and has worked as a therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Nan has worked with both survivors and perpetrators of sexual abuse, both child and adult, for most of her career. She currently is in full time private practice in Clayton, where she provides services to clients dealing with sexual trauma, sex offending behavior, and chronic mental illness. She has been providing ongoing group therapy services to St. Louis County Family Court in their adolescent sex offender program for twelve years. Her mission in life I to raise awareness of sexual offending as a public health issue as opposed to a purely criminal issue. Nan has been a member of the MSCSW for approximately 10 years and would like to grow the organization to offer opportunities and benefits to area social workers and therapist that she has enjoyed so much. Education Chair: Jenny Voss
Jesse holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC and Masters Degree in Social Work from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). Currently he works at the Crider Health Center as a Community Support Supervisor for a team of 8 Master's Level Clinicians. He is also owner and trainer at Intrinsic Change, LLC which offers trainings and consultation in Motivational Interviewing to individuals and organizations. In addition to Jesse's work in the mental health filed, he has experience and passion in the field of diversity and social justice and is a member of the Facilitrainer Cadre with NCCJSTL.
jULIE HOLDS A bs IN nEUROSCRIENCE AND A bA IN CLASSICS FROM UNION COLLEGE IN SCHENEC TADY, NY. sHE COMPLETED A SERVICE YEAR WITH AN AMERICORPS PROGRAM IN PHILADELPHIA DEDICATED TO ADDRESSING HTE DROP-OUT RATE IN SCHOOLS. SHE IS NOW A SECOND-YEAR MSW CANDIDATE AT THE GEORGE WARREN BROWN SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK AT WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ST. LOUIS. THROUGH HER PROGRAM, SHE HAS COMPLETED ONE PRACTICUM IN COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH. SHE IS CURRENTLY COMPLETING HER FINAL PRACTICUM WITH A NONPROFIT DEDICATED TO WHOLE CHILD WELL-BEING WHERE SHE WILL BE WORKING TO ADDRESS THE SCHOOL-TO-PRISON-PIPELINE.
Executive Director: Jodi Hogue
Jodi holds a BA in Urban/Cross-Cultural Ministry from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. She has an MSW from the University of Missouri in St. Louis with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Jodi is a certified financial social worker and currently she works at ECH Every Child's Hope as a Residential Care Manager working with youth that struggle with behavioral and mental health issues. Jodi is currently an LMSW and is under supervision for her LCSW.
