Lauren Raczkowski will present on Navigating Mandated Reporting. Lauren spent 16 years in Philadelphia’s child welfare system, both as a social worker and in leadership. Since relocating to St. Louis, she has spent 3 years as a social work instructor at SIUE and remained active in learning and navigating the CPS system in St. Louis. She is currently working full time as a clinician, is EMDR trained and training in DBT.

This professional development session in Navigating Mandated Reporting will focus on educating participants through the child protective services (CPS) reporting process. Mandated reporting is a critical and ethical component to the helping profession. Ensuring accurate and principled reporting is essential to not only the client, but to our CPS partners.
Course Objectives:

  • Enhanced understanding and clarity of CPS mandated reporting parameters and procedures
  • Recognize cultural, religious and ethical implications
  • Examine and challenge assumptions and personal biases
  • Identify factors that influence over and underreporting
