This workshop will provide basic tools for assessing levels of lethality and creating safety plans when clients present with depression, bipolar, addictions, and other mood disorders. A template will be provided along with clinical strategies to lower the risks for lethality. Opportunities for dialogue will be provided.

Gary is an experienced administrator, educator, researcher, consultant, and clinician  and has published his research on trauma recovery and approaches to healing following trauma. He has taught at SLU School of Social Work for the past 22 years and has presented his research at international, national, state and regional conferences. He currently serves as Family Support Program Manager at CHADS, Communities Healing Adolescent Depression & Suicide
